Applies to audio, sheet music and MR purchased or downloaded from WIA Music (operated by SmileStory Co., Ltd.).
Music, sheet music and MR from WIA Music may be used freely — personally and commercially. Cover it, remix it, build on it, and even sell what you make. We charge no royalties.
You must credit the original artist in the songwriting/composition credits. This credit is attribution only — all release revenue is yours.
Allowed (freely)
- Personal and commercial use — streaming, video, performance, etc.
- Covers, remixes, arrangements and other derivative works
- Selling or distributing what you create from it (no royalties)
Not allowed
- Omitting credit or falsely claiming sole authorship
- Reselling or mass-redistributing the original files unchanged
- Unauthorized use of the ‘WIA Music’ / ‘WIA Music’ brand names or logos
Production & copyright notice
WIA Music tracks are originals produced in collaboration with AI (e.g. Suno) and do not use the copyrights of existing commercial recordings. Due to the nature of AI-generated works, the scope of exclusive copyright protection in the melody itself may vary by country. On purchase (acquiring the release rights), the songwriting/composition credit remains ‘WIA Music’, but the economic rights in the song — including release, monetization, copyright registration and collecting-society royalties, to the extent such rights exist — are transferred to the releasing artist on an exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free basis. The releasing artist may register and monetize the song as its owner and rights holder (copyright claimant / publisher); WIA Music claims no royalties or release revenue.
After a sale, the original promo video and 24/7 live-radio segment for the song on the WIA Music channel (@wiamusic.official) are not taken down — only the title is changed to reflect that the song has found its owner. That video is separate from the releasing artist's own account/channel, and any advertising revenue it generates belongs to WIA Music. This does not affect the releasing artist's exclusive ownership of the master, or their entitlement to 100% of the revenue from their own release.
Payment & refunds
Payments are processed securely via Stripe. As these are digital goods with instant download, refunds are generally limited once a download has occurred.
